How I saved over $10,000 planning
my own dream wedding without compromising
anything on the quality of the entire event

The reason for this web page is to satisfy the demand coming from my regular subscribers who have been asking how I managed to plan my own wedding and save over $10,000 — without compromising on the overall quality of the entire event.

I am sure you will find my story inspiring. I will tell you the steps I went through when I planned my own wedding on a budget, and I will show you exactly where to start and what you need to do to successfully plan a wedding and save thousands in the process.

But first, for those of you who do not know me, I will quickly introduce myself. My name is Tracy Cooper. I have been married for the past five years and have been blessed with two beautiful kids and a wonderful husband.

Seven years ago, my husband and I were just finishing school and had graduated. We were just starting out in life and we were not rich. But when he proposed to me, I said yes. We were in love, and we wanted to get married and have a nice wedding ceremony.

Here is what happened

Growing up, I was always dreaming of having a Cinderella wedding. I even had the dream of literally getting married in Cinderella's castle at Disney World! As I got older, that dream did fade quite a bit, considering that I didn't really find a rich Prince Charming and, as I said, we were just starting out in life.

Nevertheless, we had a vision of what our wedding should be and had the desire to realize it.

So I started to plan our budget wedding with a spending limit of $8,000. Frankly, we did not really know what we were getting into. I soon learned that on average, US couples spend about $25,000 for their wedding, so $8,000 was a really low budget.

To cut a very long story short, I came to conclusion that if we wanted to have the wedding we were thinking about, we would actually need at least twice as much money.

So I ended up with the following dilemma: cut the overall quality of my wedding to remain within my budget, spend more money than I could afford or find a way to realize my dream wedding without bursting my budget.

I was determined to realize my perfect wedding within my budget limit, so I started to look for some help and direction.

Wedding Planner Coordinators Were Too Expensive

I started to look around for wedding planners to see if they could be of any help.

The reality is that wedding planners can save you a lot of time and headache. You are basically letting them do the hard work of planning and coordinating the event for you. But in the end, the whole process needs to pay off for them.

I quickly realized that was not the proper solution for us. I had to find another solution which involved having me planning my own wedding.

Here Is What I Did

After giving up on using a wedding planner and realizing that I needed some help, I was starting to wonder about how I would do it.

A friend of mind suggested that I could maybe find some help on the internet, and I thought that was a good idea. There must be some good information or websites out there that show how to plan a wedding on a small budget. I started to look online and that's when I came across Wedding Planning on a Budget.

I actually found a few wedding planning books and websites, but I stopped my search with a book titled Wedding Planning on a Budget. The book seemed to have all the information I needed and appear legit.

There was a picture of the authors on the website, the book came with unlimited free wedding consultations with them, and a 60–days full-money-back guarantee. This make me feel at ease, since I was skeptical and did not want to loose any money on something like this.

It was also downloadable to my desktop, so within the following minutes I was able to read it and judge if it was a good choice or not. I did not have anything to lose, so I decided to go for it and I certainly am glad I did!

I was not even done reading the book and I was already saving money. There was a link provided in the book, from which I found a dress for $350. The one I was originally going to buy was about $800. The purchase of the book had already more than paid for itself and I was not even done reading it.

I now thought that maybe our budget did not have to be that big...

The end Results

When I finished reading it, I thought it was very well put together and it covered much more information than I thought it would. Even though most of the book is about saving money, there is also a wedding checklist and detailed instructions — from the engagement ring to the honeymoon.

But most important, I now had a direction. I knew every step I had to go through to organize my wedding while staying on target with our budget. I started to eliminate a number of expenses that I had thought were just part of having a wedding.

In the end, I spent a total of $7,500, with most of the cost going toward the reception venue where we had a catered meal for 80 people. It was perfect — exactly what my husband and I had envisioned.

That wedding planning book was a godsend. Without it, we would have probably ended up paying over $18,000, or perhaps settled for something less or waited a few years to save more money.

The extra savings helped us to pay for a lovely honeymoon, which we did not originally plan to do. That was great!

Of course, the savings will differ from one wedding to another. It all depends on what you are planning to do and how you apply the advice. But if you are planning a wedding on a small budget or want to save some money in the process, then I recommend you get this book, especially if (like me) you don't want to compromise on the overall quality and experience of your wedding.
